With over 150 photographs entered in the competition the judges had a tough time deciding the winners of the competition
The winners of the corporate competition were TRL with a picture taken by Geoff Helliwell of Sidney at night. The judges saw this as an excellent example of night photography, a crystal sharp image and a well framed subject depicting several modes of transport.
In the individual competition first prize went to a picture of The Silk Mills Bridge, Taunton entered by Stuart Penberthy. The judges considered that not only the quality and balance of the picture were exceptionally good but that the subject matter depicted very well to work of the profession.
Second prize went to Susan Mills who in the judge’s views captured with stunning clarity and form the wing tip of an aircraft in flight with a picture entitled ‘Out of the Blue’.
Third prize was won by Katherine Jackson with a well balanced picture taken from the top of a main span support of a bridge.
