Following consultation with IHT Council and the Executive Board the name of the Procurement Board has been changed to the Procurement and Delivery Board. This change reflects the role that the board has in considering all aspects of the delivery of Highways and Transportation Services, from inception, including;
* Defining scope of services within a strategic context,
* Options Appraisal
* Funding,
* Risk Allocation and Contract Selection,
* Capability and Capacity of Suppliers,
* Delivery of Outcomes
* Contract Management and Continuous Improvement

Procurement & Delivery Board News
The Board held a workshop on the 29 November last year with members of the industry. The objective of the day was to help develop ideas on how the IHT Procurement & Delivery Board can use its unique position in the highways industry to influence improvement across a range of key procurement and delivery issues. These ideas will be used to help frame a business plan for the Board which will be used to help develop its work with members, government, local authorities, consultants and contractors. The outputs gained from the day were:

Confirmation of priority areas for the industry

Ideas and key issues for consideration relating to those areas

Actions and initiatives that the Board could consider developing and supporting
This Information will be used to frame a future business plan for the Board.
